Cards and decisions
Hit means taking another card; Stand means keeping the current hand. Both relate to the state of the hand. The pace of a screen is not a reason to rush a decision.
Double and Split exist under defined conditions in some versions. They are not interchangeable with an ordinary Hit. Read the additional commitment and table rules.
Side bets are separate from the main hand. The hand result and a special card combination are different subjects. Each needs its own rules.

Practise understanding a hand
After reading the total, match the available decisions to their meaning. An example explains the vocabulary rather than declaring a winning method.
A special rule in one edition may not apply at another table. Returning to the exact table name and rules avoids overgeneralising.
